        "content": "<p>Maluku legislators sworn in<\/p>\n<p>AMBON, Maluku: Amid security worries, the 45 members of the<br>\nprovincial legislative body were sworn in on Thursday in a<br>\nceremony at the gubernatorial office, instead of the legislature<br>\nbuilding.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly before the inauguration ceremony, security personnel<br>\ndispersed a group of supporters of the Indonesian Democratic<br>\nParty (PDI) who planned to hold a rally against the party's<br>\nrepresentative in the legislative council.<\/p>\n<p>Elias Soplely of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle<br>\n(PDI Perjuangan) said the newly inducted legislators would begin<br>\non Friday deliberation of the council's internal rules and<br>\nselection of regional representatives to the People's<br>\nConsultative Assembly.<\/p>\n<p>Fresh violence shook Ambon on Friday last week when security<br>\ntroops opened fire on a group of protesters, claiming at least 12<br>\nlives and injuring scores.<\/p>\n<p>As order is gradually restored, the state-owned Merpati<br>\nNusantara airline has announced plans to resume its commercial<br>\nflightd next Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Airline staff member Capt.
