        "content": "<p>Ambon (ANTARA) - The Maluku Provincial Government is accelerating the\nassessment and determination of compensation for communities affected by\nthe Abadi Field Development National Strategic Project in the Masela\nBlock, as part of resolving social impacts.<\/p>\n<p>Maluku Regional Secretary Sadali Ie stated in Ambon on Thursday that\nthe acceleration is being carried out through coordination between the\nIntegrated Social Impact Handling Team (PDSK), SKK Migas, INPEX Masela\nLtd., and the Public Appraisal Services Office (KJPP).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe KJPP will calculate the amount according to the provisions.\nAfter the assessment results are submitted, the Integrated Team will\nprovide a recommendation to the Governor of Maluku to determine the\namount and the entitled parties through a Governor\u2019s Decree,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>According to Sadali, resolving the social impact is an important\nstage to provide certainty to affected communities while supporting the\nsmooth implementation of the National Strategic Project.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasised that the entire process is carried out according to\nmechanisms regulated in laws and regulations so that the compensation\ndetermination is objective, transparent, and fair.<\/p>\n<p>SKK Migas Representative George Nicholas Simanjuntak said that\naccelerating the completion of the Masela Block is a concern because the\nproject plays an important role in increasing national oil and gas\nproduction and driving economic growth in Maluku.<\/p>\n<p>The Maluku Provincial Government, SKK Migas, and INPEX continue to\nstrengthen coordination so that the resolution of social impacts\nproceeds in line with the development stages of the Abadi Field in the\nMasela Block.<\/p>\n<p>The Masela Block is a National Strategic Project in the oil and gas\nsector located in the Arafura Sea, with an investment value of\napproximately US$20.9 billion, projected to support national energy\nsecurity and regional economic growth.<\/p>",
