        "content": "<p>A Malaysian foreign airline pilot, Mohd Saufi bin Othman (MSO), has\nbeen arrested by a joint team from the National Police Criminal\nInvestigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) and Soekarno-Hatta International\nAirport Customs after being caught carrying crystal methamphetamine and\necstasy.<\/p>\n<p>The Director of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier\nGeneral Eko Hadi Santoso, stated that the arrest occurred during a\nroutine check when the suspect arrived at Terminal 3 of Soekarmata-Hatta\nAirport on Tuesday (28\/7) at approximately 23:30 WIB.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCustoms officers monitoring the international passenger X-ray\nidentified a suspicious suitcase. After the suitcase was retrieved by\nits owner, MSO, who is a pilot for a foreign airline,\u201d he said in a\nwritten statement on Friday (31\/7).<\/p>\n<p>Eko explained that the inspection revealed evidence consisting of\n70,114 ecstasy pills weighing approximately 25 kilograms. Additionally,\none package of crystal methamphetamine weighing 2.7 grams was discovered\ninside the suitcase.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the inspection, the team found 14 large packages of ecstasy\nand one package of crystal methamphetamine,\u201d he clarified.<\/p>\n<p>He further explained that the suspect admitted to receiving orders\nfrom a drug lord based in Malaysia to transport the illegal narcotics to\nJakarta, in exchange for a promised payment of 50,000 Malaysian\nRinggit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe suspect was instructed by an individual (suspected to reside in\nMalaysia) that someone would meet him at a hotel to collect the drugs,\u201d\nhe added.<\/p>\n<p>Eko also noted that the suspect had previously successfully smuggled\nnarcotics into Indonesia on two occasions, specifically transporting\ncrystal methamphetamine to Sabah and 7 kilograms of methamphetamine to\nJakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, drug tests confirmed that the suspect had tested\npositive for the consumption of methamphetamine, ecstasy, and\ncocaine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUrine test results were positive for Methamphetamine (sabu), MDMA\n(ecstasy), and cocaine,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>",
