        "content": "<p>Kuala Lumpur (ANTARA) - The Malaysian government will implement\nwork-from-home (WFH) practices for government employees starting 15\nApril 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday\u2019s cabinet meeting approved the implementation of the\nwork-from-home policy for ministries, agencies, statutory bodies, and\ngovernment-owned companies starting 15 April,\u201d said Malaysian Prime\nMinister Anwar Ibrahim in a video statement monitored in Kuala Lumpur,\nMalaysia, on Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n<p>Anwar Ibrahim conveyed that the technical details of implementing WFH\nfor government employees will be announced further in the future.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that the purpose of implementing WFH is to reduce fuel\nusage and ensure the sustainability of energy supply.<\/p>\n<p>The Indonesian government has also taken steps to implement WFH for\ncivil servants (ASN).<\/p>\n<p>The Indonesian government previously announced first that the WFH\npolicy for ASN will be implemented every Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said the\npolicy will apply starting 1 April 2026 and will be evaluated after two\nmonths of implementation.<\/p>\n<p>The Indonesian government also issued recommendations for WFH in the\nprivate sector. The arrangements will be stipulated through a Circular\nfrom the Minister of Manpower, while still considering the\ncharacteristics and needs of each business sector.<\/p>",
