        "content": "<p>Malaysia jails 72 for cockfighting<\/p>\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR (UPI): Malaysia has jailed 72 men, including 67<br>\nIndonesians, after a raid on a cockfight, officials said Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The men were sentenced to four months in jail and fines of<br>\nUS$1,176, or an additional three months in jail, by the Malaysian<br>\nMagistrate's Court.<\/p>\n<p>All the defendants, who ranged in age from 16 to 60, pleaded<br>\nguilty.<\/p>\n<p>Police also confiscated more than $9,100, which was believed<br>\nto have been used for bets.<\/p>\n<p>Seven of the Indonesians were found to be without valid travel<br>\ndocuments, and two of the Malaysians were identified as military<br>\npersonnel, a police spokesman said.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the men arrested, police also seized 36 cocks,<br>\nfour of which were already dead, and currencies from Singapore,<br>\nBrunei, China and Indonesia, officials said.<\/p>",
