        "content": "<p>REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MALANG \u2013 Malang Customs inspected a karaoke venue\nselling various types and classes of beverages containing ethyl alcohol\n(MMEA)\/alcoholic drinks, but without possessing the Retail Sales\nEntrepreneur Identification Number for Excise Goods (NPPBKC). The\nkaraoke venue is located on Jalan Trunojoyo, Songgokerto Village, Batu\nSubdistrict, Batu City. The inspection carried out on Tuesday (7\/4\/2026)\nwas a follow-up to receiving information and public reports regarding\nindications of a retail sales location (TPE) selling MMEA without\nNPPBKC. From the inspection results, officers found the karaoke venue\nselling various types and classes of MMEA, with a total of 806 bottles\nready for sale. Officers then carried out actions and sealing of the\nMMEA storage warehouse to secure evidence and prevent further\ncirculation. Head of Malang Customs Office, Johan Pandores, emphasised\ncompliance with excise regulations, including the obligation to have\nNPPBKC, as non-negotiable. \u201cThe public should know that the circulation\nof illegal MMEA not only harms the state but also potentially endangers\nthe public.
