The Makkah municipal government has begun accepting qualification\nregistrations for catering contractors for the 1448 H (2027) Hajj\nseason, effective from 1 Rabiul Akhir, which corresponds to 12 September\n2026.<\/p>\n
This step is part of the municipality\u2019s early preparations to enhance\nservice readiness for Hajj pilgrims and improve field operational\nefficiency, in accordance with the highest food quality and safety\nstandards.<\/p>\n
The municipality explained that registration is conducted through a\ndedicated electronic platform for contractor qualifications. Interested\nentities providing catering services are urged to complete and update\ntheir data according to the established qualification requirements, as\nwell as comply with applicable technical and administrative provisions\nto ensure application approval.<\/p>\n
As reported by the Saudi Gazette on Sunday (20\/09\/202B), the\nmunicipality stated that this qualification process aims to guarantee\nthe provision of safe, high-quality food services and increase\noperational readiness for the Hajj season. This is achieved through the\nimplementation of technical standards and oversight mechanisms that\ncontribute to strengthening the security of the catering system and\nincreasing its efficiency.<\/p>\n
Previously, in August 2026, the Standing Committee for Hajj and Umrah\nheld a meeting to discuss plans and arrangements for the 2027 Hajj\nseason, as well as various new projects and services designed to serve\npilgrims. The meeting was led by the Deputy Governor of Makkah and Vice\nChairman of the committee, Prince Saud bin Mishaal.<\/p>\n
In his address during the meeting, Prince Saud emphasised the need to\nstrengthen integration between relevant agencies and to continue\ndeveloping performance indicators in line with the guidance of the\nleadership.<\/p>\n
The Deputy Governor also stressed the importance of ensuring the\nhighest level of readiness for the upcoming Hajj season, so that\npilgrims can perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.<\/p>\n
The meeting reviewed the implementation of the current Umrah season\nand the services provided to Umrah pilgrims from their arrival in Saudi\nArabia until their return to their home countries. The committee also\nevaluated the performance indicators of relevant agencies and the\ncoordination mechanisms between the sectors involved in the Hajj\norganisation.<\/p>\n
