The Mobile Brigade Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police\nCriminal Investigation Agency (Satresmob Bareskrim Polri) has arrested\nTS alias Ki Bedil in connection with the sale of illegal firearms for 20\nyears in the West Java region.<\/p>\n
\u201cOperated for 20 years, only now arrested,\u201d said the Head of\nSatresmob Bareskrim Polri, Senior Commissioner of Police Arsya Khadafi,\nin a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Sunday (12\/4), quoted from\nAntara.<\/p>\n
Arsya explained that Ki Bedil is known as an expert in making illegal\nfirearms of the revolver or pistol type.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe buyers are mostly street crime perpetrators [street crime] and\nillegal hunters,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Therefore, he stated that the arrest is part of Polri\u2019s serious\nefforts to eradicate the circulation of illegal firearms that have the\npotential to disrupt public security and order.<\/p>\n
Chronology of Ki Bedil\u2019s Arrest<\/p>\n
He explained that the arrest of Ki Bedil began with an enforcement\noperation on Monday, 6 April 2026.<\/p>\n
At that time, Polri carried out an arrest at Warung Nasi Ampera,\nJalan Raya Cipacing, Jatinangor Subdistrict, Sumedang Regency, West\nJava.<\/p>\n
At the location, the team arrested a suspect with initials AS who is\nsuspected of acting as an intermediary or broker in the illegal firearms\ntrade.<\/p>\n
The team then seized several pieces of evidence, including one SIG\nSauer P226 pistol unit complete with magazine, one unfinished\nlong-barrelled weapon sample unit, two rounds of .22 calibre ammunition,\nas well as other items such as a black jacket and a fishing bag.<\/p>\n
Based on the initial examination of AS, the team then conducted\nfurther investigation by dividing personnel into two groups.<\/p>\n
The first team moved to the suspect\u2019s residence in the Rancaekek\nKulon area, Bandung Regency, West Java.<\/p>\n
At that location, police again found various types of ammunition in\nconsiderable quantities, ranging from bullets of various calibres,\nprojectiles, to equipment such as drill bits suspected to be used in the\nweapon-making process.<\/p>\n
The second team conducted further investigation in the Rancaekek\nWetan area, Bandung Regency. The team then succeeded in securing another\nsuspect named TS or Ki Bedil.<\/p>\n
