        "content": "<p>Makassar terminal<\/p>\n<p>UJUNGPANDANG, South Sulawesi (JP): The Makassar container<br>\nterminal in Ujungpandang, South Sulawesi will open next month<br>\nafter three years of renovations, an official here said<br>\nyesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Makassar port head Sudarmadji said that the renovation would<br>\nbe completed by the Japanese contractor Wakachiku a whole month<br>\nearlier than scheduled.<\/p>\n<p>The renovations, which cost a total of Rp 250 billion (US$105<br>\nmillion), were co-financed by the Overseas Economic Cooperation<br>\nFund of Japan, the Islamic Development Bank, the state budget,<br>\nand the state-owned port management company PT Pelabuhan<br>\nIndonesia IV.<\/p>\n<p>The terminal&apos;s facilities include a 500 meter long dock which<br>\ncan accommodate 30,000 dead weight ton (DWT) containers; a 154-<br>\nmeter-long dock which can accommodate 10,000 DWT ships.
