Jakarta \u2013 Indonesian Armed Forces Commander General Agus Subiyanto\nhas conducted another major restructuring of senior officer positions\nthroughout the TNI. Several strategic positions have undergone rotation,\nincluding the appointments of regional military commander posts\n(Pangdam) in various areas.<\/p>\n
In this latest reshuffle, TNI Headquarters also carried out\norganisational validation for the Jakarta\/Jayakarta Military Command\n(Kodam Jaya). The structural changes mean that this key TNI Land Forces\ncommand will subsequently be led by a senior officer with the rank of\nlieutenant general or three-star general.<\/p>\n
The position of Jakarta Regional Military Commander (Pangdam Jaya),\ncurrently held by Major General Deddy Suryadi, will not change, though\ndetails regarding organisational validation of that unit remain\nunclear.<\/p>\n
TNI Press Centre Chief Brigadier General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah\nexplained that position rotations and mutations are standard practice\nwithin TNI organisations. \u201cI must convey that job rotations within the\nTNI are routine, in line with officer career development and\norganisational requirements,\u201d he said on Thursday, 12 March 2026.<\/p>\n
Beyond changes at Kodam Jaya, rotation has affected several other\nsenior officers. Lieutenant General Bambang Trisnohadi, who previously\nserved as Commander of the Combined Regional Defence Command\n(Pangkogabwilhan) III, has been transferred to the position of TNI Chief\nof Staff (Kaster TNI).<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Pangkogabwilhan III position is now filled by Major\nGeneral Lucky Avianto, who previously served as Commander of the\nXXIV\/Mandala Trikora Military Command (Pangdam). The Pangdam\nXXIV\/Mandala Trikora post has been entrusted to Major General Frits\nWilem Rizard Pelamonia, who previously held the position of Level III\nStaff Officer to the Army Chief of Staff for Economics and Social\nWelfare.<\/p>\n
Rotation has also affected several other positions within the TNI.\nBrigadier General Mirza Patria Jaya, who previously served as Director C\nof the TNI Intelligence Agency (Bais TNI), has now been appointed as\nLevel III Staff Officer to the Army Chief of Staff for Economics and\nSocial Welfare.<\/p>\n
Colonel Infantryman Wahyo Yuniartoto, who previously served as\nSpecial Staff Officer to the Commander of the IX\/Udayana Military\nCommand, has been appointed Director C of Bais TNI. Meanwhile, Brigadier\nGeneral I Ketut Mertha Gunarda, who previously commanded the 173rd\nInfantry Regiment (Danrem 173\/Praja Vira Braja), has been transferred to\nthe position of Special Staff Officer to the Commander of the IX\/Udayana\nMilitary Command.<\/p>\n
Rotation has also occurred in the Strategic Reserve Command (Kostrad)\nranks. Brigadier General Vivin Alivianto, who previously served as\nCommander of the 1st Kostrad Infantry Division, has been appointed to\ncommand the 173rd Infantry Regiment.
