        "content": "<p>Majalengka (ANTARA) - The Food Security, Agriculture, and Fisheries\nOffice (DKP3) of Majalengka Regency, West Java, has assured that\nsubsidised fertiliser stocks in the area are in a safe condition to meet\nfarmers\u2019 needs during the implementation of the second planting season\n(MT II) in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Head of DKP3 Majalengka Regency, Gatot Sulaeman, in Majalengka on\nWednesday, stated that the availability of the fertiliser has been\nprepared in accordance with the allocation set for this year.<\/p>\n<p>He mentioned that the subsidised fertiliser allocation in Majalengka\nRegency includes 36.4 million kilograms of Urea, 28.514 million\nkilograms of NPK, 56,000 kilograms of organic fertiliser, and 354,000\nkilograms of ZA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor MT II, we assure that the subsidised fertiliser stock is in a\nsafe condition and sufficient for farmers\u2019 needs,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>According to Gatot, the amount is deemed sufficient for farmers\u2019\nneeds during MT II, so fertiliser distribution is expected to run\nsmoothly.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to ensuring fertiliser availability, his side also urged\nfarmers to accelerate the planting process to anticipate the potential\nfor a prolonged dry season.<\/p>\n<p>He said this is based on predictions from the Meteorology,\nClimatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), which forecasts that this\nyear\u2019s dry season will last longer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs an effort to meet water needs, we, together with the River Basin\nOrganisation (BBWS), have coordinated to anticipate it,\u201d said Gatot.<\/p>\n<p>He also conveyed that the local government has distributed assistance\nfrom the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) in the form of water pumps\nto farmer groups.<\/p>\n<p>DKP3 is also coordinating with the agricultural extension worker team\nin Majalengka to provide guidance during the planting season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe guidance is expected to help farmers manage planting patterns\nand fertiliser use optimally,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, his side recorded rice production from farmers\u2019 harvests\nin Majalengka reaching 204,261 tonnes of unhulled rice from a harvested\narea of around 31,253 hectares from January to March 2026.<\/p>",
