        "content": "<p>Jakarta - Former Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and\nSecurity Affairs Mahfud MD has revealed that there are at least two\nsteps that can be taken to uncover the alleged civilian perpetrators\ninvolved in the acid attack on activist Andrie Yunus.<\/p>\n<p>First, through the ongoing military trial currently prosecuting four\nTNI BAIS soldiers as the perpetrators of the acid attack on Andrie\nYunus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf that becomes a legal fact (in the military court trial), it can\ncertainly be followed up,\u201d Mahfud said, quoted from the Mahfud MD\nOfficial YouTube channel on Wednesday (29\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Second, Mahfud said, through the police investigation route.<\/p>\n<p>The former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) stated that\nthe report related to this case has already been received by Bareskrim\nPolri and can be further developed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo it\u2019s possible, it\u2019s still not closed. Especially if the trial\nfacts mention civilians. But hopefully they will be bold, how can\nthey not be bold about something like this,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Previously reported, member of the Advocacy Team for Democracy\n(TAUD), Afif Abdul Qoyim, suspects civilian involvement in the acid\nattack case against KontraS Deputy Coordinator Andrie Yunus on 12 March\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the evidence, we found at least a dozen perpetrators indicated to\nbe in the field,\u201d Afif said during a press conference at Resonansi,\nKalibata, South Jakarta, on Thursday (9\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Based on the leads obtained, there are indications of connections\ninvolving a dozen people suspected of being involved in the acid attack\nincident against Andrie.<\/p>\n<p>Afif stated that from the analysis of the presence of those dozen\npeople, the possibility is open that the acid attack on Andrie Yunus\ninvolved civilians.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThus, it is very open for the police to thoroughly investigate this\nincident,\u201d he emphasised.<\/p>\n<p>The report was filed in the name of Andrie Yunus as the victim and\nrepresented by TAUD as legal representatives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy are we doing this?
