        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2014 Former Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Human\nAffairs Mahfud MD has stated that Indonesia should consider withdrawing\nfrom the Board of Peace (BoP).<\/p>\n<p>This assessment emerged following attacks by the United States and\nIsrael on Iran, which resulted in the death of Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader,\nAyatollah Ali Khamenei.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the time for Indonesia to consider withdrawing from the\nBoard of Peace. It is time to consider withdrawing immediately,\u201d said\nMahfud when met in Senen, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday, 10 March\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow there is such a fact (the US-Israel attack on Iran), which\nprovides a new reason to declare withdrawal, and there is no loss in\ndoing so, is there?\u201d he stated firmly.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, Mahfud referenced President Sukarno, who once\ncriticised the United Nations and was subsequently expelled by the\ninternational organisation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c(But Sukarno) established his own (new international organisation)\nwith great boldness.
