        "content": "<p>Maestro &amp; Cirrus member<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): MasterCard International announced yesterday<br>\nthat Bank Universal has joined the Maestro on-line, point-of-sale<br>\ndebit program and the MasterCard\/Cirrus ATM Network.<\/p>\n<p>MasterCard said in a statement that Bank Universal plans to<br>\nissue 75,000 of FLEXI-SAVE debit cards branded with Maestro and<br>\nCirrus until the end of the year. The first 25,000 will be issued<br>\nthis month. The bank has also linked 22 of its automatic teller<br>\nmachines to the MasterCard\/Cirrus global ATM network, which is<br>\nconnected to 493,000 terminals in 34 countries.<\/p>\n<p>Debit cards enable domestic costumers and in-bound travelers<br>\nto charge purchases instead of using cash or checks.
