        "content": "<p>A tectonic earthquake occurred at 15:39 WIB in the southeast region\nof Jember, East Java, according to Malang Geophysical Station Chief\nRicko Kardoso. BMKG analysis showed the quake had an updated magnitude\nof 4.8, with its epicentre located at 9.07 degrees south latitude and\n113.82 degrees east longitude, 99 kilometres southeast of Jember at a\ndepth of 14 kilometres. Ricko explained the shallow earthquake resulted\nfrom rock deformation within the tectonic plate. The tremor was felt in\nJember at intensity IV on the MMI scale, Banyuwangi at III-IV, and\nBondowoso, Kuta, South Kuta and Malang at III. Denpasar recorded\nintensities of II-III, while Blitar and Trenggalek reported II. As of\n15:55 WIB, BMKG monitoring showed no aftershocks. Several residents at\nGraha Citra Mas housing estate rushed out of their homes due to the\nstrong shaking. \u201cThe shaking was strong, so I ran out of my house,\u201d said\nFitri, a resident.<\/p>",
