Rahman retained his International<br>\nBoxing Federation (IBF) Pan Pacific mini flyweight title after<br>\nousting Filipino challenger Lito Danggod on Tuesday evening in<br>\nJember, East Java.<\/p>\n<p>Referee John Wright of Australia decided to stop the match<br>\nafter Rahman wounded his left temple in the third round due to a<br>\ncollision.<\/p>\n<p>The rules said the Akas Probolinggo boxing club boxer retained<br>\nhis title because the match was stopped due to an accident.<\/p>\n<p>Danggod, who is ranked second in the IBF Pan Pacific list, and<br>\ncoach Joshua Cawyson were very disappointed with the decision but<br>\nthey abided by the rules.<\/p>\n<p>Both fighters were considered equal from punches landed at the<br>\nbeginning of the title-bout, watched by 3,000 spectators and<br>\nbroadcasted live by RCTI.<\/p>\n<p>Rahman performed aggressively in a close fight, although blood<br>\nstreamed from him after he accidentally banged his head against<br>\nDanggod.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of third round, Wright discussed Rahman&apos;s bleeding<br>\nwound with the ringside doctor, the judges and the match<br>\ndirector, and decided to stop the match.<\/p>\n<p>In the undercard, Indonesia&apos;s IBF Intercontinental junior<br>\nflyweight champion Anis Roga won in a split decision over Celso<br>\nDinggod of the Philippines.<\/p>\n<p>Judge M Binsyech of Indonesia gave 117-111 and Australian John<br>\nWright gave 116-111 for Anis, while Vincent Rondrigues of the<br>\nPhilippines gave 115-112 to Dinggod, ranked fourth in the IBF<br>\nIntercontinental and first in the PABA (Pan-Asian Boxing<br>\nAssociation) rankings.
