The Head of the Gorontalo Geophysical Station, Dr Andri Wijaya,\nstated that the earthquake was centred in Tahuna, Sangihe Islands, North\nSulawesi Province. He noted that tsunami warnings remain in effect, with\nupdated data currently at Early Warning (PD) status 3.<\/p>\n
Residents in North Gorontalo, such as Hamid Rauf, reported moments of\npanic, particularly in the Pelabuhan hamlet of Katialada Village,\nKwandang District. \u201cWe were afraid due to the tsunami warning; I\ntemporarily halted my activities to pray, and I even felt dizzy and\nworried,\u201d said Hamid, a mobile fish vendor.<\/p>\n
Another resident, Iskandar, mentioned that they are continuously\nmonitoring sea levels at Kwandang Port. Ervina, a teacher at SMA Negeri 1 North Gorontalo, stated that the\nschool has sent all students home. \u201cThe bell was rung to signal that\nchildren could return home, as many parents were contacting us as class\nteachers to seek the latest information from the school.
