Seoul, South Korea, (ANTARA\/PRNewswire) - LX Pantos (President &\nCEO: Lee Yong-ho) announced on 8 September that the company has\ncompleted a cross-border defence logistics project to transport advanced\nweaponry.<\/p>\n
The project involved the delivery of air-to-air missiles (AAM) from\nFrance to Korea in support of the Republic of Korea Marine Attack\nHelicopter (MAH) programme led by the Defense Acquisition Program\nAdministration (DAPA). LX Pantos carried out the project for Korea\nAerospace Industries (KAI).<\/p>\n
The AAMs for the MAH programme were shipped by European defence\ncompany M from Ch\u00e2teauroux Airport in France to Incheon International\nAirport aboard a chartered aircraft arranged by LX Pantos. Upon arrival\nin South Korea, the missiles were transported overland to a Republic of\nKorea Marine Corps unit in Pohang.<\/p>\n
To ensure safety and security throughout the delivery, LX Pantos\ndeployed a dedicated chartered aircraft carrying only the missiles as\ncargo. The shipment was categorised as Class 1, Division 1.2,\nCompatibility Group E explosives, meaning the missiles required the\nhighest level of protection.<\/p>\n
The air transport of dangerous goods, including defence materials, is\na specialised operation that must comply with the International Air\nTransport Association\u2019s (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulations as well as\nthe aviation safety requirements of each country involved.<\/p>\n
During the process, LX Pantos secured overflight permits from 14\ncountries across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The company also\ncoordinated the entire multimodal delivery chain through its global\nnetwork, including its European subsidiaries.<\/p>\n
LX Pantos has continued to expand its defence logistics business\nsince receiving an \u201cExcellent\u201d rating in a security assessment conducted\nby the Defense Counterintelligence Command Korea in 2024.<\/p>\n
The company has also achieved Assessment Level 3 (AL3), the highest\nlevel in the Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX).\nThis achievement demonstrates LX Pantos\u2019s ability to meet stringent\nglobal information security standards.<\/p>\n
