Luxury car confiscated<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): City police detectives have confiscated a black
\nJaguar sedan from a businessman living on Jl. Kwini, Central
\nJakarta, a police source said on Thursday.<\/p>\n
\"It was taken early this week from a man identified only as
\nSoni from Jl. Kwini. It had something to do with tax fraud or
\nsomething ... I can't say further,\" said the officer, who asked
\nfor anonymity.<\/p>\n
According to city police chief of traffic Col. Nyoman Sukesna,
\nthe license number B 1357 MD used by the Jaguar officially
\nbelonged to another car.<\/p>\n
\"The number belongs to a 1989 red Toyota Corona sedan. The
\nnumber was issued on May 15, 1989,\" Nyoman said.<\/p>\n
\"The owner of the car and its registration number is PT
\nUnilever Indonesia. The address is on Jl. H.R. Rasuna Said, Kav.
\nB-9 in South Jakarta.\"<\/p>\n
Nyoman urged all city residents to check the authenticity of
\ncar documents and car registration numbers with city traffic
\npolice.<\/p>\n
\"Within three seconds we can check whether the car or
\nregistration number is stolen or not. Just call (021) 523-4042.\"
