        "content": "<p>The Chairman of the National Economic Council (DEN), Luhut Binsar\nPandjaitan, stated that integrating government data through Government\nTechnology (GovTech) could lower the rate of mistargeted social\nassistance (bansos) from 77.6 per cent to less than 10 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe pilot project we conducted in Banyuwangi as part of the\ngovernment technology initiative has identified various problems within\nthis administration that we are now rectifying. Currently, 77.6 per cent\nof all distributed social assistance is off-target. With these\nimprovements, we now anticipate less than 10 per cent,\u201d Luhut said\nduring the IT Del Grand Reunion in Jakarta on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Luhut noted that the integration of government data is ongoing,\nensuring that data from various ministries and agencies can be\ninterconnected and analysed using artificial intelligence (AI).<\/p>\n<p>He mentioned that the development of GovTech has currently reached\nalmost 80 per cent. He also targets President Prabowo Subianto to launch\nthe system by October 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Luhut stated that by the end of 2026, all government data will be\nID-based, meaning Indonesia will possess a digital single ID, which is\nexpected to have a significant impact on the nation.<\/p>\n<p>According to Luhut, the comprehensive implementation of GovTech also\nhas the potential to increase government efficiency by closing various\nloopholes and building a more transparent ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe calculate that with government technology, we will be able to\nsave more than Rp1,200 trillion, close leakages here and there, and\ncreate an ecosystem where people are compelled to be transparent,\ncompelled to be more efficient, and compelled not to engage in\ncorruption,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Luhut assessed that this digital transformation of the government\ncould serve as a key factor supporting Indonesia\u2019s long-term economic\ngrowth.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the government will continue to develop GovTech\ngradually and noted that the President has issued instructions to ensure\nthe integration process continues.<\/p>",
