Lufthansa to auction tickets<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): German airline Lufthansa will launch a live
\nticket auction through its local website www.lufthansa.co.id
\nstarting Sept 6. in a move to provide better service to its
\ncustomers.<\/p>\n
Lufthansa Indonesia general manager Tobias Ernst said in a
\nstatement that by conducting a periodic auction, his company
\nhoped to attract more net users in Indonesia to visit and use its
\nwebsite for information as well ticket transactions.<\/p>\n
\"There will be 30 return tickets to be auctioned, with
\ndestinations such as London, Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, Madrid, New
\nYork, Washington and Singapore. Successful bidders will receive a
\nconfirmation of their purchase by phone and e-mail,\" the company
\nsaid in a statement.<\/p>\n
To participate in the auction, potential bidders must
\nregister online at the website in order to receive a user ID. The
\nwebsite will list the schedule and flight details a few days
\nprior to the auction, the company said.<\/p>\n
Bidding for each return ticket will start from as little as
\nUS$10 and incoming bids will be in increments of $20, $30 or $50.<\/p>\n
\"The first auction will take place between 10:00 a.m and 4:00
