LSF still needed<\/p>\n

We, the members of the Society Against Pornography (MTP), are
\nquite concerned with the strong demands voiced by certain circles
\nlately that the Film Censorship Institute (LSF) be disbanded. In
\nour opinion this demand, which is based on the fear that the LSF
\nmay violate human rights, should be reviewed. It should be taken
\ninto consideration that at present, when the LSF is still in
\nexistence, the mass media, particularly television, films and
\nadvertisements\/commercials, very freely air sexual exploitation
\n(pornography) and violence.<\/p>\n
In principle, we object to the LSF conducting preventive
\ncensorship in the case of programs such as talk shows. However,
\nit does not necessarily mean that we approve of the idea to
\ndisband the LSF because in our opinion the LSF is still needed to
\nexercise control over the mass media so that materials involving
\npornography and violence do not reach the public.<\/p>\n
We hope we can all think clearly so as to jointly find a more
\nappropriate form of control over our audio-visual media. It is
\nour hope, too, that we may have safe and family-friendly mass
\nmedia conducive to the moral uplifting of our society.<\/p>\n
