        "content": "<p>The Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Bekasi light rail transit (LRT Jabodebek)\nhas confirmed that its operations remain normal amid the spread of\nvolcanic ash caused by activity at Mount Anak Krakatau. Monitoring of\noperational conditions, readiness of facilities and infrastructure, and\ncoordination among field personnel is being carried out continuously to\nkeep passenger journeys safe and comfortable.<\/p>\n<p>LRT Jabodebek Public Relations Manager Radhitya Mardika said\nmonitoring is being conducted on an ongoing basis following the spread\nof volcanic ash in several areas. \u201cSo far, the condition has not\naffected LRT Jabodebek operations and journeys continue to run\nnormally,\u201d he said in an official statement.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of operations, LRT Jabodebek uses a Grade of Automation\n(GoA) Level 3 system, which allows train journeys to run automatically.\nNevertheless, journeys are still monitored by staff, including train\nattendants on board, to ensure conditions can be observed directly.<\/p>\n<p>The monitoring also covers visibility conditions during journeys.\nTrain attendants are promptly monitoring conditions on the ground and\ncoordinating if there are any changes requiring action.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrain attendants are promptly monitoring the journey and conditions\non the ground, so that if there are changes requiring handling, they can\nbe coordinated immediately,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>For information, the LRT Jabodebek propulsion system uses a third\nrail whose upper section is equipped with a protective cover.
