PT Kereta Api Indonesia\n(Persero) or KAI has prepared a special LRT Jabodebek fare of only Rp8\nfor travel on 17 August 2026. This promotion applies specifically on the\nday commemorating Indonesia\u2019s independence. Executive Vice President of\nLRT Jabodebek Suryawan Putra Hia said the special fare is part of the\n81st Independence Day celebrations as well as an effort to encourage the\npublic to use public transport. \u2018Through the Rp8 fare on 17 August 2026,\nwe want to invite the public to utilise public transport while making\nthe LRT Jabodebek journey part of the momentum of celebrating the\nRepublic of Indonesia\u2019s Independence Day,\u2019 Suryawan said in an official\nstatement on Wednesday (12\/8\/2026). With this fare, the public can make\nthe LRT one of their transport options for travelling during the 17\nAugust holiday.
