        "content": "<p>The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) has provided\nemergency protection to a victim of alleged confinement and torture by a\nsuspect named Taufik Hidayat in Cinunuk, Bandung Regency, West Java. \u201cAs\nof today, we have issued an emergency protection report,\u201d said LPSK\nDeputy Chair Wawan Fahrudin in Jakarta on Tuesday. Wawan expressed\nconcern over the tragedy, stating that the three-year ordeal, which\nreportedly occurred within a romantic relationship, was inhumane. The\nLPSK has scheduled a coordination meeting with the medical team at\nDr.\u00a0Hasan Sadikin General Hospital (RSHS) Bandung on Tuesday to assess\nthe victim\u2019s medical needs. The agency will also coordinate with the\nWest Java Provincial Government to share responsibilities in accordance\nwith Law Number 3 of 2026 on the Protection of Witnesses and Victims.\n\u201cThis new law includes a role for regional governments, allowing us to\nshare tasks in terms of policy and budgeting for recovery efforts,\u201d\nWawan explained.
