        "content": "<p>The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) is moving swiftly to\nfollow up on the tragic death of Dr Eliza Princila Utami Pakaenoni,\naffectionately known as Doctor Icha. The Vice Chairperson of LPSK,\nSusilaningtyas, confirmed that the agency has deployed a field team to\nprovide protection and support for the victim\u2019s family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe LPSK team was deployed last week, specifically on 28 June 2026,\u201d\nsaid Susilaningtyas when confirmed on Tuesday (30\/06\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Although the team has arrived on-site and met with the victim\u2019s\nfather, Susilaningtyas explained that the family has not yet officially\nsubmitted a request for protection. This is because the family is\ncurrently focused on completing local customary funeral rites.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe team has met with the victim\u2019s father, but they have not yet\napplied to LPSK as they wish to settle their customary matters first,\u201d\nshe added.<\/p>\n<p>Doctor Icha was found dead at her parents\u2019 residence in the RSS\nBaumata housing complex, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), on\nFriday (26\/06) at approximately 18:00 WITA. The death of the young\ndoctor is strongly suspected to be a suicide triggered by severe\npsychological pressure.<\/p>\n<p>Based on gathered information, Doctor Icha allegedly faced\nintimidation from a member of the North Central Timor (TTU) Regional\nHouse of Representatives (DPRD). The intimidation incident reportedly\noccurred while Doctor Icha was treating a paediatric patient who had\nbeen a victim of a snakebite at Leona Hospital on Saturday (13\/06).<\/p>\n<p>The Chairperson of the PDIP Central Executive Board, Puan Maharani,\nresponded to the case of alleged intimidation and bullying involving Dr\nEliza Princila Utami Pakaenoni. The Ministry of Health is expected to\nconduct a thorough investigation into the alleged intimidation\nexperienced by the 28-year-old doctor by certain individuals.<\/p>\n<p>A member of Commission IX of the Indonesian Parliament, Edy Wuryanto,\nnoted that the passing of Doctor Icha is a loss for the Indonesian\nhealthcare world and serves as a reminder regarding the protection of\nhealthcare workers.<\/p>\n<p>The Deputy Governor of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Irjen (Retd) Johni\nAsadoma, has called for the case of Doctor Icha\u2019s death to be\ninvestigated thoroughly and transparently.<\/p>",
