This dialogue promotes development in villages. The\nevent featured the theme \u2018Strengthening Strategies to Accelerate\nIndustrial Downstreaming as the Key to Sustainable Economic Growth\nthrough the Empowerment and Mentoring of Micro, Small, and Medium\nEnterprises Based on Palm Oil\u2019, which took place in Central Jakarta.\nGeneral Chairman of DPP LPM RI, Ahmad Doli Kurnia Tandjung, in his\nremarks, addressed global dynamics leading to potential crises that must\nbe anticipated through strengthening community-based economies,\nparticularly at the village level. \u201cLPM has a strategic role in helping\nthe government address various community issues. We have begun mapping\nvarious challenges from the village level, including in strengthening\ncommunity-based economies,\u201d said Ahmad Doli in his statement on Monday\n(20\/4\/2026). He added that strengthening village economies, including\nthrough cooperative development, is an important step that needs support\nthrough multi-stakeholder synergies. According to him, collaboration\nwith BPDP opens up significant opportunities to integrate empowerment\nprogrammes that directly impact communities. Meanwhile, the Head of the\nCommunity Cooperation and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM)\nDivision of BPDP, Helmi Muhansah, affirmed BPDP\u2019s commitment to\nsupporting the capacity building and welfare of palm oil farmers through\nvarious strategic programmes. \u201cBPDP continues to promote strengthening\nof the upstream to downstream sectors, including through palm oil\nplantation rejuvenation programmes, human resource development, and\nsupport for UMKM and cooperatives. This is part of ongoing efforts to\nstrengthen the ecosystem for Empowering UMKM &amp; Cooperatives of\nPlantation Commodity Farmers,\u201d explained Helmi. He also stated that BPDP\nis opening various opportunities for the younger generation, including\nscholarships in the palm oil field as well as training to enhance the\ncompetence and competitiveness of plantation-based business actors.\n\u201cBPDP is now opening scholarships for young people who want to study\npalm oil. In addition, we also provide various training to support\ncompetence enhancement,\u201d he said.
