        "content": "<p>Indonesia Eximbank (Lembaga Pembiayaan Ekspor Indonesia\/LPEI)\nreported positive financial performance in Q1 2026. Net profit reached\nRp 77 billion, up 81 per cent year-on-year compared with Rp 42 billion\nin the same period last year. The performance was driven by increased\nbusiness activity and improved asset quality.<\/p>\n<p>Financing for the business unit amounted to Rp 32.3 trillion, up 13\nper cent from Rp 28.6 trillion. Meanwhile, guarantees reached Rp 4.2\ntrillion and insurance volume Rp 1.4 trillion. These achievements\nunderscore Indonesia Eximbank\u2019s active role in supporting financing and\nrisk mitigation for export-oriented businesses.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of asset quality, Indonesia Eximbank recorded collections\nand special assets of Rp 648 billion. The positive performance also\nhelped improve the net NPL ratio to 1.77 per cent from 2.41 per cent as\nof December 2025.<\/p>\n<p>This achievement demonstrates the effectiveness of the bank\u2019s\nbusiness and risk management strategies in keeping business healthy and\nsustainable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe improvement in Indonesia Eximbank\u2019s performance is in line with\nincreased activity in National Export Financing and the improvement of\nthe fundamental asset management, as well as reflecting the active role\nof Indonesia Eximbank in supporting the government\u2019s Asta Cita\ngovernment programme, while continuing to meet prudential norms to\nmaintain financing quality and business sustainability,\u201d said Sukatmo\nPadmosukarso, Executive Director of Indonesia Eximbank, in the press\nrelease on Thursday, 21 May 2026.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, to support national export programmes through the\nSpecial Export Assignment (Penugasan Khusus Ekspor, PKE), PKE\ndisbursement realisation in Q1 2026 reached Rp 3.6 trillion, up 39 per\ncent year-on-year.<\/p>\n<p>The PKE Trade Finance and PKE Kawasan programmes were the largest\ncontributors to disbursement. Meanwhile the PKE UKM programme has the\nlargest borrower portfolio, indicating that this programme meets the\nneeds of exporters-oriented SMEs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough the PKE programme, exporters-oriented businesses can\nincrease production capacity, sustain their operations, strengthen the\ncompetitiveness of Indonesian products in global markets, and broaden\naccess to international markets, especially non-traditional countries,\u201d\nsaid Sukatmo.<\/p>\n<p>Not only recording positive financial performance, Indonesia Eximbank\nalso continues to strengthen its role in export development through\nconsulting services aimed at enhancing business capacity.<\/p>\n<p>As of March 2026, the total Desa Devisa under Indonesia Eximbank\u2019s\nguidance rose to 2,379 villages. Of these, 199 Desa Devisa have\nundergone quality improvement through strengthened institutions, export\nmanagement training, strengthening quality production processes, and\nexpanded market access including through business matching\nactivities.<\/p>\n<p>LPEI also added 120 new exporters, bringing the total number of new\nexporters to 1,774 exporters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese achievements reflect Indonesia Eximbank\u2019s commitment to\nstrengthening the national export ecosystem through financing,\nguarantees, insurance, and capacity development for exporters-oriented\nbusinesses,\u201d concluded Sukatmo.<\/p>",
