This\nprogramme serves as an additional option for the capital\u2019s residents who\nwish to pursue higher education. The LPDP Jakarta concept is similar to\nthe national Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (LPDP) programme.\nHowever, this one is specifically for Jakarta residents and adapted to\nthe region\u2019s needs. \u201cIf this can be realised, I think it is very good to\nprovide opportunities for Jakarta\u2019s children or students to study abroad\nusing LPDP Jakarta,\u201d stated Pramono when met at the East Jakarta Mayor\u2019s\noffice on Tuesday (5\/5\/2026). In its implementation, Pemprov DKI Jakarta\nwill collaborate with the central government. Pramono acknowledged that\nif LPDP Jakarta were managed entirely independently, the process of\nestablishing the scholarship system would take a long time. \u201cSo the\nfunds available are certainly those managed by the DKI Jakarta\nGovernment, but because managing an LPDP apparently takes time, it\nrequires a long time, so we are collaborating with the Central LPDP,\u201d\nsaid Pramono.
