Loyalty to President?<\/p>\n
From Rakyat Merdeka<\/p>\n
Referring to an article in Rakyat Merdeka of July 12 on
\nministers' loyalty to the President, as advocated by Agum
\nGumelar, in my opinion Agum Gumelar's recommendation is far too
\nlate. Didn't most of the 27 dismissed ministers show their
\nloyalty by giving correct input to the President?<\/p>\n
Want an example? Former minister of justice Yusril Ihza
\nMahendra was fired because he gave an opinion in accordance with
\nthe law in relation to a decree intended to be issued by the
\nPresident.<\/p>\n
And now if Agum Gumelar gives a similar opinion, I am afraid
\nsoon he will experience the same fate, because the President is
\nall excited and worked up in his intention to issue a decree to
\ndissolve the legislature (DPR) by July 20 at the latest.<\/p>\n
So once again, the firing of so many ministers thus far is not
\ndue to their disloyalty, but more to the erroneous choice of
\npresident made by the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR).<\/p>\n
According to experts on health, the President's impaired
\nvision causes difficulties for him to execute duties of the state
\nand renders him dependent on others, while the damaged front part
\nof the brain produces the following symptoms: megalomania,
\nexcessive self-confidence, inconsistency, insensitiveness,
\nreduced self-control and personality disturbances.<\/p>\n
Therefore, the only solution to save the nation from sinking
\nfurther is by making the special session of the MPR (scheduled
\nfor Aug. 1) a success, so that we can have a solid and stable
\ngovernment, which can amicably cooperate with the legislature.<\/p>\n
