The operation to restore security in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam
\nhas begun. One of the tragic impacts has been arson, with public
\nfacilities, particularly school buildings, being burned down,
\nallegedly by the separatist Free Aceh Movement (GAM) -- something
\nthat must be sternly dealt with.<\/p>\n
As a consequence, children in the region cannot attend school
\nproperly, while it is now time for their final exams. Since they
\ncan no longer carry on their studies as originally planned, lots
\nof children will suffer in future.<\/p>\n
Therefore, I agree with the military operation in Aceh for
\nreligious reasons. Islam teaches three stages of caution. First,
\na verbal warning: In this case, the government's peaceful
\nnegotiations with GAM. Second, proper action, which has been
\ncarried out by launching a military operation. Third, prayers.<\/p>\n
In my view, the entire nation is praying for the safety of the
\nAceh people so that they will live in peace, security and
\ntranquility, thus enabling them to resume their activities.<\/p>\n
