        "content": "<p>Lost baggage<\/p>\n<p>From Suara Pembaruan<\/p>\n<p>I would like to relate my experience, flying Singapore<br>\nAirlines (SQ 017) from Vancouver to Singapore on May 30, 1994 and<br>\nthe next flight (SQ 154) to Jakarta on June 1, 1994.<\/p>\n<p>I took two pieces of luggage with me on those flights. When I<br>\narrived at Soekarno-Hatta airport I could not find my luggage<br>\nwith tag No BAH CGKSQ25089. I contacted Singapore Airlines in<br>\nVancouver immediately, and was told that my luggage was sent on<br>\nthe same flight. The luggage has still not been found.<\/p>\n<p>What is more surprising is that I had another mishap on my<br>\nsecond journey from Toronto to Jakarta, with a transit in Korea.<br>\nI also had two pieces of luggage with me. From Toronto I flew Air<br>\nCanada flight No AC 899 on Oct. 29, 1994, and from Korea to<br>\nJakarta I flew Korean Air flight No KE 627 on Oct. 31, 1994.<br>\nAgain I could not find my luggage, No AC518345 on arrival at<br>\nSoekarno-Hatta in Jakarta. I contacted Korean Air in Jakarta<br>\nseveral times to inquire about my lost baggage, but they could<br>\nnot find it.<\/p>\n<p>I cannot help wondering about the bad luck that has befallen<br>\nme -- twice. I am sure the same thing also happens to other<br>\npassengers. Reports in the media often relate that irresponsible<br>\npersons in the Soekarno-Hatta airport cause the loss of the<br>\npassengers' luggage.<\/p>\n<p>These sorts of incidents will surely hinder the government's<br>\neffort to promote tourism, a very potential sector for earning<br>\nforeign exchange.<\/p>\n<p>I hope the authorities will do something about it, and I also<br>\nawait explanation from the airport authority concerning my lost<br>\nbaggage.<\/p>\n<p>Name and address<\/p>\n<p>withheld<\/p>",
