        "content": "<p>Losing Sunu looks ahead for Australia<\/p>\n<p>Zakki Hakim, The Jakarta Post, Jakarta<\/p>\n<p>Sunu Wahyu Trijati failed to advance to the semifinals of the <br>\nITF Indonesia Junior Tennis Championships 2003 and the young <br>\nIndonesian tennis star said he learned much from defeat ahead of <br>\nhis debut in the Junior Australian Open early next year.<\/p>\n<p>The 16-year-old, who was the second seed, lost to Lee Meng Hua <br>\nof Chinese Taipei 6-1, 6-3 in 63 minutes in the quarterfinal <br>\nmatch at the Bung Karno tennis courts here on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Sunu praised his opponent, saying that Lee, who was only <br>\nseeded 12th, was a world class junior player and very consistent.<\/p>\n<p>\"Although he was seeded 12th, he gave a world-class <br>\nperformance. I have yet to reach that international level.  <br>\nTherefore, I will need more experience,\" he told The Jakarta <br>\nPost.<\/p>\n<p>Sunu, along with Lavinia Tananta in the girls' category, will <br>\nbe awarded a chance of competing in the Australian Open Junior <br>\nGrand Slam after winning the national Hemaviton Master Series <br>\nlast month.<\/p>\n<p>Sunu, who is currently ranked 120th the world junior rankings <br>\n(ITF), said that he would try to amass at least 30 points in the <br>\nnext tournaments for a possible inclusion in the main draw.<\/p>\n<p>After the ongoing ITF championships' first leg in Jakarta, the <br>\nsecond leg awaits him in Surabaya, followed by the ITF Malaysia <br>\nin Serawak and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and ITF India.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the semifinal matches of the Jakarta ITF <br>\nchampionships will see top seed Yi Chu Huan of China against <br>\nIndonesian Immanuel Prabowo and Lee against fourth seed Roman <br>\nKelecic of Croatia.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesians dominated the girls' field, securing three places <br>\nin the semifinals.<\/p>\n<p>Second seed Ayu Fani Damayanti, who won 6-0, 6-3 over the <br>\nU.S.'s Tori Kinard, will meet Dian Mayasari while Nancy Metriya <br>\nwill challenge top seed Liu Wan Ting of China.<\/p>\n<p>The Hemaviton Master Series also granted \"scholarships\" to <br>\nAgung Bagus Dewantoro and Lutfiana Aris Budiharto, the winners in <br>\nthe boys' and girls' under-14, to play in the ITF India Junior <br>\nCircuit in December.<\/p>",
