Lore Lindo Park needs more funds<\/p>\n
PALU, Central Sulawesi: Central Sulawesi is seeking additional
\nfunds to finance projects in Lore Lindo National Park.<\/p>\n
\"We only receive Rp 900 million annually from the government
\nto fund our activities here,\" the head of the park, Banjar
\nYulianto, was quoted as saying on Wednesday by Antara.<\/p>\n
The budget is only enough to cover rehabilitation projects and
\nthe salaries of our forest rangers, he said. He did not say how
\nmuch money the park was seeking.<\/p>\n
The 217,991-hectare park is located in the regencies of
\nDonggala and Poso.<\/p>\n
Banjar said the national park had become one of most
\nattractive sites for foreign researchers in the last several
\nyears. However, he regretted that most of the researchers did not
\nsend the park a final copy of their work.<\/p>\n
He said that beginning this year researchers working in the
\npark would be required to submit copies of their completed
