        "content": "<p>Lonsum to get $197m loan<\/p>\n<p>HONG KONG (Reuter): PT PP London Sumatra Indonesia (Lonsum)<br>\nand its parent PT Pan London Sumatra Plantation have mandated<br>\nHSBC Investment Bank Asia, Singapore, and Union Bank of<br>\nSwitzerland, Hong Kong, to arrange US$197 million syndicated term<br>\nloan facilities, UBS said.<\/p>\n<p>The facilities will be used to refinance the borrowers&apos;<br>\nexisting syndicated loan facilities signed in November 1994 and<br>\nto fund Lonsum&apos;s expansion.<\/p>\n<p>The facilities have been fully underwritten by the arrangers<br>\nand will be launched into syndication in early March.<\/p>\n<p>Privately held Lonsum is mainly involved in the cultivation,<br>\nharvesting and processing of oil palm and rubber.<\/p>",
