        "content": "<p>The Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung, has revealed that two\nsub-distornicts in Jakarta are already experiencing drought amidst the\nprolonged dry season.<\/p>\n<p>This was announced during a series of Jakarta Guarding ceremonies\nregarding preparedness for the dry season in DKI Jakarta on Wednesday\n(2\/9).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs you can see, today there are two sub-districts that are indeed\nexperiencing drought, namely Kalibaru and Semper sub-districts,\u201d said\nPramono.<\/p>\n<p>The Kalibaru and Semper sub-districts are located in the Cilincing\nDistrict, North Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>To address the drought, the Jakarta Provincial Government is\ncollaborating with the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and\nother agencies to provide water tankers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo that end, 29 tankers have been provided from 10 participating\nagencies to address the water shortage issue in Jakarta,\u201d Pramono\nstated.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the BPBD and PAM Jaya have established communication\nchannels to accommodate reports from residents affected by the\ndrought.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are socialising this to the ranks of mayors, districts, and\nsub-districts so that if the community encounters drought incidents,\nthey can immediately report to 112, and we will facilitate clean water\ndistribution through PAM Jaya,\u201d said the Head of the Jakarta BPBD,\nMarulitua Sijabat.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency\n(BMKG) predicted that the peak of the dry season would occur from August\nto September 2026. However, the El Ni\u00f1o phenomenon itself is expected to\npersist until early 2027.<\/p>",
