        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2014 During the 2026 Lebaran Transport period spanning 11 March\nto 1 April 2026, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operating Region 1\nJakarta has recorded an increase in long-distance train ticket\nsales.<\/p>\n<p>As of 8 March 2026, 625,231 tickets have been sold or reserved from a\ntotal of 1,076,196 seats provided for departures from Gambir Station and\nPasar Senen Station.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe current seat occupancy rate stands at 58 per cent, with 423,965\nseats still available for the public wishing to travel during the\nLebaran exodus and return periods,\u201d stated KAI Operating Region 1\nJakarta\u2019s Public Relations Manager, Franoto Wibowo, in an official\nstatement on Sunday (8 March 2026).<\/p>\n<p>The dates with the highest ticket sales include 18 March with 49,057\ntickets, followed by 19 March with 48,291 tickets, 17 March with 47,986\ntickets, and 16 March with 47,217 tickets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn these popular dates, the remaining seats are very limited and\napproaching capacity. For instance, on 18 March only 2,435 seats remain\navailable, on 20 March 2,708 seats, and on 19 March 2,998 seats,\u201d\nFranoto explained.<\/p>\n<p>Based on service class, train seat availability remains fairly\nadequate. For executive class, 268,587 seats remain available out of a\ntotal capacity of 510,527 seats. For commercial economy class, 144,227\nseats remain available out of 446,965 total capacity. For PSO (Public\nService Obligation) economy class, 38,142 seats out of 118,704 total\ncapacity remain available for booking.<\/p>\n<p>Based on travel period, for departures between 11\u201320 March, 81,797\nseats remain available, whilst 22,429 seats are available for 21\u201322\nMarch. For departures from 23 March to 1 April, 364,730 tickets remain\navailable.<\/p>\n<p>Through the Mudik Promotion programme, customers can obtain discounts\nof up to 30 per cent for ticket purchases on 9 March 2026 for departures\nbetween 9\u201320 March 2026, subject to applicable terms and conditions.<\/p>",
