Lollipop vendor arrested for rape<\/p>\n
BOGOR (JP): A 60-year-old lollipop vendor was confronted about
\nallegedly raping a six-year-old girl, a relative of the girl said
\non Saturday.<\/p>\n
The vendor, identified as Suwardi of Warung Jambu village,
\nreportedly acknowledged to committing the rape, the girl's elder
\nsister said.<\/p>\n
Heti said her sister repeatedly complained about vaginal pain
\nand no longer wanted to be bathed by her parents.<\/p>\n
\"She never refused to be bathed before. She also said that a
\nlollipop vendor often took her for a walk,\" Heti recalled.<\/p>\n
After spending about a month looking for the lollipop vendor,
\nthe family noticed Suwardi selling candies near their house in
\nTegal Mangga village.<\/p>\n
The family, along with two neighbors, confronted the man.<\/p>\n
Suwardi refused to comment, but after the girl appeared, he
\nacknowledged the incidents.<\/p>\n
The girl's father turned Suwardi over to the Bogor Tengah
\nPolice.<\/p>\n
The Jakarta Post visited the six-year-old girl who seemed
\nunaffected by the ordeal.<\/p>\n
From the medical examination conducted by PMI Hospital in
\nBogor, the girl's hymen remained intact.<\/p>\n
Heti said Suwardi always took her sister for a walk in a
\ncemetery and lured her by offering lollipops.<\/p>\n
The case is being handled by local police, with a further
