        "content": "<p>Lockheed eyes Manila<\/p>\n<p>MANILA (AFP): Lockheed Martin Corp. of the United States has<br>\nsigned an agreement with a local firm to conduct a feasibility<br>\nstudy on a proposed aerospace center in the Philippines, the<br>\npresidential palace said yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement was signed Monday in the presence of Philippine<br>\nPresident Fidel Ramos by Thomas Killy, Philippine representative<br>\nof Lockheed Martin International, and the H. Thomas Group Inc., a<br>\nholding firm with investments in the transportation and<br>\ncommunication sectors, a palace statement said.<\/p>\n<p>The palace gave no other details of the project, but quoted H.<br>\nThomas Group chief executive Tom Navasero as saying the project<br>\n\"could help address some of the Philippines' highest priorities,<br>\nspecifically technology transfer and infrastructure development.\"<\/p>\n<p>Killy said the proposed project would \"broaden the industrial<br>\nbase with the emergence of a reinvigorated aerospace industrial<br>\nbusiness,\" the statement added.<\/p>",
