Locals ready for Formula Asia race<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Teenage driver Ananda Mikola will be leading
\nIndonesia's charge in the seventh and eighth legs of the Formula
\nAsia at the Sentul circuit tomorrow.<\/p>\n
\"I see a great chance to win here, because I have practiced
\nenough. My major opposition will come from my friends Dimas and
\nBagoes,\" the 16-year-old driver said yesterday.<\/p>\n
Ananda, son of former national racer Tinton Suprapto, has
\ncollected 61 points after six rounds. He is now placed third
\nbehind India's Narain Karthikeyan on 95 points and Briton Piers
\nHunniset, with 89.<\/p>\n
Other young Indonesian drivers -- including Roy Haryanto,
\nIndra Saksono, Hari Dharma, Yusar Odang, Eris and Amir Mahmud --
\nwill also sit behind the wheels tomorrow.<\/p>\n
Andhika Bagoes Hermanto of Lux Motorsport Asia expressed the
\nsame optimism about making a podium finish.<\/p>\n
Tomorrow will be his third appearance in the Formula Asia
\nseries. Bagoes was formerly known as a go-cart racer here.<\/p>\n
Championship leader Karthikeyan admitted that he is facing a
\ntough race this time. \"Hunniset will be my toughest rival. I
\nshould also consider host drivers,\" he said.<\/p>\n
The co-featured race at Sentul tomorrow is the Southeast Asia
\nTouring Car Zona Challenge, contesting 23 local and foreign
\ndrivers.<\/p>\n
Indonesia will field Chandra Alim -- wearing a Bentoel
\nMotorsport racing suit -- and the Toyota team of Indra Saksono,
\nTommy Santosa and Jimmy Lukita.<\/p>\n
Thailand's Suphot Kasikam of the AIM Opel leads the standings
