        "content": "<p>The West Jakarta City Government (Pemkot Jakbar), together with the\nRegional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda), is utilising products\nfrom local artisans as official souvenirs for government activities.<\/p>\n<p>Dekranasda Jakarta Barat Chair Ety Syartika stated that this step\nrepresents practical support for local business actors in improving the\nquality and competitiveness of their products.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is hoped that the artisans will become increasingly independent,\ninnovative, and capable of competing in the global market,\u201d said Ety in\nJakarta on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Her side is also committed to enhancing the capacity of artisans\nthrough collaborations with various relevant sub-directorates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are collaborating with the Sub-Directorate of Industry, Trade,\nCooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises (Sudin PPKUKM) for human\nresource capacity building and with the Sub-Directorate of Tourism and\nCreative Economy (Sudin Parekraf) Jakbar for marketing access. One of\nour flagship programmes is \u2018Dekranasda Goes to Mall\u2019, which is planned\nagain in July,\u201d Ety explained.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Head of Sudin Parekraf Jakarta Barat Sherly said that\nmarketing support has enabled several flagship West Jakarta products to\npenetrate international markets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur products, such as Batik Gobang, have been marketed as far as\nParis, Korea, and Kuala Lumpur.
