        "content": "<p>Local anthrax fiercer than US one<\/p>\n<p>BOGOR: The anthrax outbreak in Bogor involved a strain more<br>\neasily transmitted than the anthrax used in the attacks in the<br>\nUnited States, a researcher warned on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Bogor Veterinary Research Institute researcher Lili Natalia<br>\nsaid unlike the U.S. strain which could infect people through<br>\nopen wounds, the Bogor strain could pass through skin.<\/p>\n<p>She said the institute was still studying samples taken from<br>\nseven people from Kadumanggu who were infected with the disease.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, Bogor regency administration spokesman Sjahuri<br>\nsaid it was believed the residents were infected by a goat which<br>\nwas not vaccinated during a program in October, last year.<\/p>\n<p>Sjahuri said the regency would cooperate with the Bogor<br>\nInstitute of Agriculture to vaccinate goats which would be<br>\nsacrificed on the Islamic Day of Sacrifice on Feb. 12.--JP<\/p>",
