        "content": "<p>LNG firms form consortium<\/p>\n<p>PERTH (Dow Jones): Australia's liquefied natural gas producers<br>\nsaid Monday they have formed a consortium to market new LNG<br>\nproducts to Asian buyers.<\/p>\n<p>The new venture was formally launched by BP-Amoco (BPA),<br>\nChevron Corp. (CHV), Royal Dutch\/Shell Group (RD), Australia's<br>\nBroken Hill Proprietary Co. (BHP) and Woodside Petroleum Ltd.<br>\n(A.WPL).<\/p>\n<p>The companies said the consortium, to be called Australia LNG,<br>\nwill provide a vehicle for Australia to capture new business from<br>\nthe growing number of LNG customers in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The consortium won't be targeting Japan, however. Japanese<br>\ncustomers are already handled by North West Shelf LNG operations,<br>\nwhich groups Australia's LNG producers with Japan Australia LNG<br>\n(MIMI), an equal joint venture between Japan's Mitsubishi Corp.<\/p>",
