Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) is\ncurrently refining the concept for the Government Procurement Agency\n(BPP) as proposed by President Prabowo Subianto.<\/p>\n
During a working meeting with Commission XI of the Indonesian House\nof Representatives (DPR RI) in Jakarta on Wednesday, the Head of LKPP,\nSarah Sadiante, reported that the agency is preparing for the formation\nof the BPP by first utilising existing human resources and available\nbudgets.<\/p>\n
However, she noted that the LKPP budget proposed for 2027 does not\nyet include the requirements for establishing the BPP, as the\ninstitutional concept is still in the refinement stage. The budgetary\nrequirements for the BPP will be calculated further in line with the\nprogress of its implementation.<\/p>\n
\u201cTherefore, the budget we have requested for 2027 does not yet\ninclude this BPP. However, we have calculated that even if the BPP is\nestablished, we will first utilise all existing resources,\u201d she\nstated.<\/p>\n
The utilisation of available resources is considered capable of\nsupporting the initial operational phase of the BPP.<\/p>\n
Sarah mentioned that there are currently approximately 20,000\nprocurement professionals who are certified and distributed across\nministries, agencies, and local governments.<\/p>\n
