Mudana was a man who lived alone. The Buleleng\nSocial Service for Women\u2019s Empowerment and Child Protection (Dinsos P3A)\nstepped in to facilitate the handling and burial process of the body.\nThis was done because Mudana had no family to make the arrangements.\nHead of the Buleleng Dinsos P3A, I Putu Kariaman Putra, said his team\nmoved quickly after receiving a copy of a letter from the Suwug Village\nGovernment regarding a request for burial assistance on Wednesday\n(5\/8\/2026). \u201cWe immediately went to the location to ensure the handling\nof the body proceeded properly and received decent services,\u201d said\nKariaman. According to information gathered, Mudana was known to live\nalone and had no family to care for him. He frequently moved from place\nto place and often visited a hut belonging to his step-sibling on Gang\nBelibis, Penarukan. His health had reportedly declined in recent days\ndue to a chronic illness. Before his death, Mudana had been homeless\nseveral times and had no permanent residence. The Buleleng Police\nidentification team, which examined the body, confirmed there were no\nsigns of violence or criminal activity. The examination results stated\nthe victim died from a chronic illness. Kariaman revealed that Mudana\nhad previously been detained three times by the Buleleng Civil Service\nPolice Unit (Satpol PP) for being homeless and moving from place to\nplace. In handling this case, the Buleleng Dinsos P3A collaborated with\nthe Singaraja Police, Penarukan Ward, Suwug Village officials, the\nBuleleng branch of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), and the Buleleng\nRegional General Hospital (RSUD). The body was then facilitated for\ntransfer to the Buleleng Regional General Hospital for temporary keeping\nwhile awaiting the burial process. Additionally, the Social Service\ncoordinated with the Buleleng Traditional Village to determine a \u2018dewasa\nayu\u2019, or auspicious day, for the burial in accordance with local\ncustoms. \u201cHandling the death of a displaced citizen is a form of\ngovernment concern and responsibility. We ensure the entire process is\ncarried out humanely through coordination with the police, village\ngovernment, PMI, hospital, and traditional village so that the body\nreceives proper handling and burial in accordance with applicable\nregulations,\u201d Kariaman stressed.<\/p>",
