        "content": "<p>Lippo Bank hires PWC<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Publicly listed Lippo Bank said on Tuesday it<br>\nhad appointed Price Waterhouse Coopers, an international<br>\nconsulting firm, to help refine the bank's comprehensive five-<br>\nyear strategic business plan.<\/p>\n<p>Company president Eddy Sindoro said the bank considered the<br>\nstrategy to be extremely important in the severe banking turmoil<br>\nafflicting the country because only well-prepared banks will be<br>\nable to survive.<\/p>\n<p>\"The comprehensive strategic long-term plans which we are<br>\nimproving at the moment will strengthen Lippo Bank's position in<br>\nthe line of healthy banks in Indonesia,\" Eddy said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the plan would be used as the basis for the<br>\nbank's directions and strategies in increasing its efficiency and<br>\nproductivity, handling of problems loans, cost management and<br>\ncontrol and operational cost savings.<\/p>\n<p>Lippo Bank currently operates 364 branch offices and 260<br>\nAutomatic Teller Machines (ATMs) in 44 cities nationwide.
