Concerning the complaint that appeared in The Jakarta Post on
\nSept. 23, we would like to thank you for your attention and in
\nhelping us to improve our service, and please allow us to explain
\nas follows.<\/p>\n
Regarding the hydraulics on the rear door, we have checked our
\nplane and found that there is no communication problem between
\nthe cabin and the pilot caused by a broken intercom. Besides,
\nthere is a warning light in the cockpit that will go on if there
\nis any problem with the rear door, and in that case the pilot
\nwill not take off until the problem is fixed.<\/p>\n
According to our routine maintenance and safety observations
\nduring the period of early August up to Sept. 21, everything was
\napproved by the Indonesian authorities during the ramp audits,
\nshowing that any operational abnormalities that came up in the
\nmaintenance and safety area and were still within the safety
\nlimits. This means that we have done everything to ensure
\naircraft airworthiness, including cabin maintenance procedures.<\/p>\n
