Line up for lunch<\/p>\n
A food court is supposed to be a nice place to dine. The
\nenvironment must be comfortable. There must be a great variety of
\nfood to choose at a reasonable price.<\/p>\n
I recently went to the food court at Taman Anggrek Mall, a new
\nmall located on Jl. S. Parman. The food court is nice except for
\none thing. Instead of money, coupons are used for transaction.<\/p>\n
At first, I had to queue for coupons, although there were some
\nempty stands. I bought four coupons for four people, assuming one
\nperson used one coupon. But we wanted to eat more. Since money
\nwas not acceptable, I had to queue again for more coupons.<\/p>\n
Having finished our lunch, we had two coupons still unused. I
\nwanted to keep them for our next visit, but we were told that the
\ncoupons were only valid for one day; the date was already stamped
\non the coupons. Fortunately, the coupons could be refunded but I
\nhad to queue for the third time. I have never experienced such a
\nsystem before, not even in Singapore which has many food courts.<\/p>\n
