        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Leyand International Tbk (LAPD) is beginning\nto tidy up its business portfolio following the entry of its new\ncontrolling shareholder, PT JSI Sinergi Mas. The listed company has\nconfirmed it will divest subsidiaries deemed no longer aligned with\nfuture business development directions.<\/p>\n<p>This step forms part of the ongoing group restructuring. The company\nstates it will divest PT Rusindo Eka Raya, which operates in consumer\nproduct distribution, particularly Fast Moving Consumer Goods\n(FMCG).<\/p>\n<p>Management assesses that the business line of this subsidiary no\nlonger fits the company\u2019s new focus after JSI Sinergi Mas\u2019s\ninvolvement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn that evaluation, the operations of PT Rusindo Eka Raya were\ndeemed not aligned with the main business development focus of the\nCompany going forward. Therefore, the Company may proceed with\ndivestment,\u201d said LAPD\u2019s President Director, Jamal Abdul Nasir Bamadhaj,\nin his statement in Jakarta on Tuesday (31\/3\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, LAPD\u2019s management stated that this restructuring process\ndoes not stop at divestment. The company is also preparing expansion\nsteps through acquisitions more aligned with the new business strategy,\nparticularly in the energy and mining sectors.<\/p>\n<p>The company targets the entire restructuring process, including\ncorporate actions, to be completed gradually by 2027.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Company is currently in the process of releasing ownership in\nsubsidiaries that no longer align with the company\u2019s business field, and\nthe acquisitions are planned to be completed in 2027,\u201d Jamal\nexplained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Company, together with the New Controlling Shareholder, has\nbegun several strategic synergy steps to improve operational performance\nand business development of the Company,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, LAPD is also exploring several opportunities to\nimprove its financial condition, after recording accumulated equity\nlosses of Rp 451 billion as of September 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The options being targeted include acquisitions of companies deemed\ncapable of providing added value and new growth sources.<\/p>\n<p>One concrete step is the plan to acquire the mining contractor\ncompany PT Bersaudara Sinergi Sejahtera (BSS).<\/p>",
