        "content": "<p>Levi's forms subsidiary<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Levi Strauss and Co announced the establishment<br>\nof its new Indonesian affiliate, PT Levi Strauss Indonesia,<br>\nyesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The new company is wholly owned by the San Francisco-based<br>\nLevis Strauss and Co, which sells its clothes in more than 60<br>\ncountries.<\/p>\n<p>Jake Centenera, the president of Levi Struass Indonesia, said<br>\nhis company would make, market and distribute clothing at a<br>\nwholesale level.<\/p>\n<p>He said his company would work closely with dealers and<br>\nretailers to set new domestic standards in retailing jeans and<br>\nbranded apparel.<\/p>\n<p>The company has 77 staff: 36 are based at its headquarters at<br>\nWisma Pondok Indah and 41 at its factory at the Suryacipta<br>\nIndustrial Estate in Karawang, West Java.(hen)<\/p>",
